Goodmorning Palk Bay

A fisherboat in morning on 9th Jan 2014. Northeast wind created spectacular foggy atmosphere. Northern Palk Bay is known for its high productivity of squids and cuttle fishes (கனவாய் மீன்கள்) which actually belongs to Phylum Mollusca.

About me...

Passion on the beautiful placid Palk Bay has been driving me to work with local community and nature since 1998. Mother sea lead to develop some sea skills like kayaking, open water swimming, underwater photography, skin diving and scuba diving, while I equip myself professionally with Ph.D.,

After some years of volunteering in NGOs and understanding the life and environmental issues of local coastal area, found a platform to ensure my independency and full time commitment in marine conservation in my own area.

Still have to go long way to ensure sustainable fishery and participatory conservation of Palk Bay marine life, while sincerely thanking and loving my society and country.

கடல் - சின்ன வயதிலிருந்து நிரம்ப பிடித்த விடயமானது ஏனென்று தெரியவில்லை. அப்பாவுடன் பலமுறை பார்த்த அபைஸ் (Abyss) ஆங்கிலப்படம், கடலுக்குள் இருக்கும் அற்புததத்தை நாமும் ஏன் நேரில் காணக்கூடாது என்ற வினாவை சிறுவயதில் எழுப்பியதாகவும் இருக்கலாம். பதின்ம வயதில் கடலுக்குள் படமெடுக்கும் கருவியை உருவாக்கி பரிசோதிப்பதிலும், கடல் குதிரைகளை பற்றிய குறு ஆய்வு செய்வதிலும் ஈடுபட்டபோது, இந்த வேலையை மட்டுமே முழுநேரப்பணியாக தொடர பணிக்குமாறு மனமுருகி மனம் இறையை வேண்ட துவங்கியது.

இந்த துறையில் கனவுக்கும் நடைமுறைக்கும் உள்ள இடைவெளியை நிரப்ப, தகுந்த கல்வித்தகுதியும், கடல் களப்பணி தகுதியும் மற்றும் அதை சார்ந்து வாழும் மக்களின் சமூக பொருளாதார விடயங்களை பற்றிய அடிப்படை அறிவையும் பெறுவதில் பல வருடங்கள் உழைக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. தகுதிகள் மேம்பட்ட போது அயல்நாட்டில் கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்புகளை உதறி, நான் வாழும் சமூகத்திற்கு சில முக்கிய கடல் வளம் சார் செய்திகளை சொல்லிட ஒரு களமாக ஓம்கார் நிறுவனம் தொடங்கினேன். இன்னும் செல்ல வேண்டிய தூரம் நீண்டு கொண்டே இருந்தாலும், நம் கடல் உயிரின வளங்களின் அருமையை சமுதாயம் கொண்டாட செய்திட நிற்காது நடப்போம் வாருங்கள்.
